My early experiences reading
I don't think I read much as a kid but when I did, my favorite book series was Pinkalicious. I also loved Shel Silverman's poems and non-fiction science books. In elementary school, I used to volunteer to read books to the younger grades. I really only read if I had to, not if I wanted to.
My reading life now
I still only read if I have to; but now that I'm older, I feel as though I can feel the emotion of the books I read now and that makes them more enjoyable to read. I like books based on true stories; usually with characters dealing with challenging medical conditions and mental issues.
My book/podcast choice for this semester
I plan on listening to the podcast “Ear Biscuits” with Rhett and Link, my favorite YouTubers since 2013.
